React training school 1
UiA, Norway November 29th – December 11th 2021
The first REACT training school took place at the University of Agder (Norway) from 29 November to 11th December. This was the first teaching-learning activity organized by all the institutions that integrate the REACT consortium dedicated to undergraduate students. During these 13 days (5 days on site and 8 days online), specialists in artistic research and performance from the institutions involved gave classes on artistic research, performance as creation and the social integration of the performer. They also offered individual and collective mentoring to all participants involved.
Throughout the sessions, the teaching activities focused on how to approach music performance as a creative, artistic and reconfiguring activity, instead of approaching the latter as demonstration of abilities and interpretation of music scores. For this purpose, the music performance training course adopted the artistic research based-learning approach.
